About Us

We help deaf and hearing-impaired children and adults, their families and other carers with services and support for education, training, personal and career development, employment, and inclusion in the community.

We provide and support:

  • radio hearing aids for children who are less than five years old (there is no Government funding)
  • help with entry to further education
  • grants for training for employment
  • opportunities for professionals and volunteers to work with deaf and hearing-impaired people of all ages
  • inclusion in the community through a range of events and activities.

The Charity is managed by a Board of Trustees who meet regularly. Outside the work of the Charity, all the Trustees, and the Honorary Officers, are closely involved with services to hearing-impaired people and have first hand knowledge of the gaps the Charity seeks to fill. The Trustees and the Officers do not receive any reimbursement for personal expenses incurred, or any other form of payment from the Charity.
